About Furhood
Our story
Furhood began with a simple wish: to make little ones laugh, and the people who love them laugh even harder.
We are a small team who have put our hearts into this. Every detail, from the plush we chose to the way we answer your emails, comes back to one thing: helping families collect happy memories.
The name
Childhood, with a hood on
Take the word “childhood”, swap “child” for “fur” and add a hood. That is Furhood: the moment a small person becomes a small character.
Hood up, and a toddler is suddenly a turtle crawling down the hallway. Hood down, and they are back to being your little one, only a little cosier.
The moments we're here for
First crawls, birthday candles and long cuddles with grandparents.
Why we do this
Happy faces, kept for years
Some days are remembered for the big things. Most are remembered for the small ones: a giggle from under the hood, a wobbly first step, a grandparent meeting them for the first time.
We want Furhood to be part of those days. Knowing that a photo of your little turtle might end up on a fridge door, in a family album or on a grandparent's phone is what keeps us going.
Made with care
Chosen to be loved, and worn
We chose the Turtle for its soft plush, big embroidered eyes, rolled striped hood and a shell that makes everyone smile.
It zips down the cream front so getting dressed is quick, has footed legs with turtle toes, and comes in six sizes from newborn to five years.
How it’s made
From soft plush to your front door
Every Turtle goes through the same careful steps before it reaches you.

Cut
Each piece is cut from the soft daisy-patterned plush, following the pattern for its size.

Stitched
The plush shell is stitched with cream piping around every plate, then sewn onto the back.

Checked
Eyes, seams and the front zip are checked on every finished onesie.

Folded and sent
Folded shell-up, wrapped in tissue and sent tracked, free, to your door.
